This was not the first dress I tried on. Far from it. My mom and I had been to several dress stores that day trying on different styles, fits, fabrics, etc. We had just come from a store and I thought I had found the one. Sure, I didn't get that "feeling" that it was "the dress". But it was pretty and flattering and within my budget. When my mom and I arrived at the next store, we just started pulling all sorts of dresses that fell within our budget. My mom pulled this dress "just to try on". She thought the peplum was fun, but there was no way it would be the dress.
It was the second dress I tried on and my mom and I both got that feeling. This was "the" dress. It fit like a glove. No alterations would be needed. The length was perfect (albeit, a bit short for my sky-high heel wearing taste). It. Was. Perfect. Of course I tried on a few more just to make sure, but there was just something about this one that made me feel so beautiful and elegant. It would be perfect for out outdoor, sea-side wedding.
